STORY START:
“Good work miss Moto” The principle commented as you won another battle.
“Thanks.” You reply boringly, just as you walked around with their principle many other student ran over just to see you being not only related to ‘the’ Yugi Moto but is also a stand off of your older brother as well; being known as the ‘Queen of games’ hyped up your popularity although you could care less about that alone. You started feeling alone living just with your grandpa while Yugi left; a title meant nothing without Yugi around anymore. You sighed heavily, sitting down on the edge of your new bed.
“So you hear the new girl is Yugi Moto’s sister and they say she-” A girl says but stops as the three walks in seeing you sitting on the bed. You stand up rolling your eyes leaving the room, feeling suddenly crowed. Rumors kept flowing like wax being melted, yet some would hurt the very point in your heart mostly the ones about your older brother; Yugi. The scent of the ocean came to you by the breeze, you walked on till you met up with the docks. You sat down on the edge, just thinking; reflecting on things that once was that is no more.
“Hey!” You hear someone shout, looking directing up above you. A boy with brown hair waving his arms wildly, you turn your attention back to the flowing water. “Hey, your Inuyashi Moto right?” The kid shouts again, finally you stand up and head on back up the hill.
=Jaden’s POV=
“Jaden, she is ignoring us.” Syrus says, as he and I watched her walk on back up to the hill. “Come on Sy.” I say walking on over to meet at the top of the hill, as we came on over there standing in front of her were some students. Inuyashi just coldly stare at everyone with such hateful feelings, I couldn’t help but watch her. “I know, maybe I should duel her.” I say thinking out loud, Syrus’ mouth dropped as he shouts. “What?”

You hear the shout of someone loud, you look over and again the brown haired boy was there next to the short blue hair boy that shouted. You focused back in front moving around everyone, but suddenly stopped as the brown haired boy stood in front of you. “Hey let’s duel.” He says, you quirk a brow to him with the expression saying ‘are you for real’. He smiles, putting his duel disk on. “Fine.” You mumbled, everyone moved away giving you and him some space. “Alright! Game on.” He says happily, he starts off the duel with Sparkman and a face down.
You draw on of your best cards but the only problem was you needed a sacrifice, so you played a trap face down. You play pot of greed, drawing two more cards, finally you could play one fairy in defense and the other in attack. Doing as you thought your plan was going well, even being able to summon your ice queen too. He fought right back just as hard, sort of reminded you of your older brother well partly due to his spirit in dueling that is. Suddenly he plays Winged Kuriboh (look up the name just to make sure you spelled it right.)
For the first time you were down to your last 200 life points, he down to his 100 life points. Again your fire dragon struck, taking his remaining life points down. You put your deck away, turning to him to see Jaden sigh in defeat. But to your surprise he was smiling with pride, you turned around again avoiding him. Something about that Jaden Yuki just boiled your blood, but not in a bad way more of a sad way. While he was talking to his friends you took the chance and snuck away, you just didn’t want to be near him at least not at the moment.
The card he pulled out, the Winged Kuriboh made you really look back at things. The good and bad, but for some reason the card itself called to you like a charm as he had played it. This alone was impossible for you to hold back, you smiled as tears came down your face while you watched the clear blue sky. ‘Why, why brother why didn’t you leave me alone like this.’ You questioned, the covered muffled cries that you held back behind your arms showed your feelings that you hid behind a smile. “Hey.” Suddenly Jaden’s voice echoed, you jumped nearly out of your skin.
Glaring at the brown hair boy before you, while he just smiled curved your heated anger even though it wasn’t towards him. “You ok?” He asks noticing the silent fallen tears that stained your cheeks. “No of your concern.” You coldly reply, walking away from him. “Wait Inuyashi!” He shouts running to your side. You continued to ignore his calls, as you headed on towards your dorm.
=Jaden’s POV=
She kept ignoring me, like a fly on the wall and I didn’t understand the term cold shoulder until that moment in time. “Hey Jaden, what are you doing?” Syrus asks, as he found me just standing in front of the blue dorms. “I was following Inuyashi but she just ignored me. It seemed something was is on her mind bothering her like a plague.” I say, more to myself then Syrus. The thought that I saw remembered as it flashed back in my head was the tears that she had on her cheeks and the muffled sounds she mad under the crossing of her arms.
“What do you mean Jaden?” Syrus asks, I look at him waving it off with a smile. “Oh haha nothing.” I laughed, but her sad expression haunted my every thought, other then duel monsters.
=Regular POV=
That night you walked on back to your dorm, you opened and closed your door. Sort of like you jumped on your empty bed, with your right arm over laying your forehead. You moved your arm, sitting up looking towards the window. You got up off the bed, opening the window to the balcony. Your thoughts were on the match, your blood boil with excitement. Slowly tears flowed down your cheeks, suppressed memories of why you wanted to be a duelist, and why you wanted to be like your older brother.
You balled your fists, not of anger but of something else, a different feeling as the image of Jaden Yuki slumbered in the depths of your mind.
Time passes by fast, and you’ve been there for the last four months. You looked to your calendar seeing you had one more day before your birthday. Also no matter how much you’ve tried during the time to avoid a certain someone, he still manages to show up out of nowhere. You hated to admit you’re falling for his beautiful charm, you purposely like now avoiding him because you kept getting this weird tingly feeling. It was almost like having wings in your stomach, and you didn’t know what to do with such a feeling.
“Yo Inuyashi!” You hear, immediately you jumped up out of your skin at the sound of his voice. “What do you want Jaden!” You barked back, he sweat dropped with a smile. Jaden stood before you, and for some reason he was nervously rubbing the back of his head laughing in a way. “I hear your birthday is tomorrow.” He says to you, again the pit of your stomach growls funny. You lean forward as if you were sick to your stomach.
“I-inuy-” Jaden says, but you took off in a flash before hearing him anymore. You ran all the way to the girl’s bathroom, opening and closing the stall as you leaned up against the closed door. “Why.” You cried, as you calmed down. To you it felt as if you labeled Jaden Yuki a plague, and it was hard enough for you to fight alone or by his side. You knew the duel between him and Syrus’ brother Zane was today, and also the reason as to why Jaden didn’t stop bugging either.
“Stupid-stupid.” You grunted, while hitting your balled fists against the side metallic wall. You kept hitting it over and over again, not noticing someone entering the bathroom. “Inuyashi?” You hear, and knew it owner by heart. “Yes?” You responded, hearing her footsteps shuffle near the door. “You know Jaden’s match with Zane is up next, are you coming?” She asked. “I-yes Alexis, I’m coming.” You replied, signing in defeat. You opened the stall door, revealing a smiling Alexis. “What were you doing in there?” She asks, you look at her as she walked out behind you from the bathroom.
“Hiding, and thinking.” Came your reply, she shook her head leading the way. “Why hiding?” Alexis questioned, taking a seat in the front row directly across from Jaden. “I didn’t want to be bothered by Jaden.” You simply reply, but not thinking of what you meant. Alexis’ eyes seemed to pop right out of her head, she looked at you until you noticed her staring. “What now?” You say, annoyed. “Do you like Jaden, Inuyashi?” She asks, you tilted your whole body to the left side. “I-Idon’t.” You stutter, with a blush brightly showing upon your cheeks.
“Oh really, well your face says other wise.” She laughed, you shivered as you looked back to Jaden then mumbled to her quietly. “Maybe.” You thought she didn’t hear that but unfortunately for you, Alexis heard it. She smiled as you watched Jaden intently, as she watched you the same way. Finally she focused on the duel, seeing both of them clashing, until his Cyber End Dragons merged killing Jaden off. “Wow, that was a good match.” Alexis says, standing up. Jaden looked across seeing you stay there, as Alexis moved pass you over toward Zane.
He walked up the steps, then sat right next to you. You felt his hand glide softly over yours, his skin was cold to the touch but warmed up as it sat above yours. “Inu-Jad-” You both started in unison, he smiled just as big as you did. “You first.” You say to him, he nods his head. “Ok, well I was wondering if you liked me.” He bluntly stated, you smiled placing your right hand to his cheek. “I wouldn’t say I hate you.” You laughed, caressing his cheek with your thumb.
“Come with me, I have a place to show you.” He said, pulling on your hand. Without a doubt the wings fluttered heavily in your stomach, while you clutched your fingers around his hand.
